forcium hosting

Posted by TomGA, 06-04-2008, 03:30 PM
Hi, i have decided to go with Forcium hosting for my reseller but i have noticed that there site http://forciumhosting.com/ has had some downtime lately. Has anyone had or have an account with them and did you get downtime on your account you had or have.

Posted by TonyB, 06-04-2008, 04:14 PM
Well lets see they were trying to sell the company: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...forciumhosting I believe the topic got closed due to inconsistencies and ever changing bin (buy it now) value. My reading of digital point shows there has been a lot of down time for users who are using them that come from that forum. So I imagine their site is hosted on the same server they put all their ridiculous offer hosting accounts on as well. So buyer beware

oh ok thanks for clearing some issues up

Hey, Thank you for having a look at ForciumHosting. Yes our servers had downtime today as we have been installing and updating the server. If you need help with anything please do PM me.

Your website has been down all day for the most part today since 4AM. Speaking of which they are still down as we speak. That's more than a "little" downtime if you ask me. Speaking of which I moved my test domain from your servers and I want to cancel my account yet I can't because your site is still down.. Last edited by Twist3d; 06-04-2008 at 08:55 PM.

I believe they were experiencing load issues a few days ago. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with those issues, though.

afaik they didn't pay the bill, got your money and left tried to sell their "hosting" company also, some days ago http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=696276

Is this the same one that got all their client's details hacked? Or is that someone else... Edit: Woopsie. That was the link above! Thought it was the link to the sale thread. My bad.

Yeah don't go with Forcium Hosting. Plus their server hasn't been online 100% for the past 4 days. It's been offline more than it's been online.

Posted by PCS-Chris, 06-05-2008, 08:27 AM
I wouldnt touch these guys with a bargepole. The fact that the owner has tried to sell it twice is enough to put anyone off, and it was hacked/lost customer details.... Clearly no ability in Server Management or security for that matter. And hiring "2 - 3" admins for a Firewall issue..seriously. Seems to be just a typical Kiddy operation - as someone else said in the Sale Thread Their site was painfully slow yesterday and is now completely down, for me at least. Huh? Are you or are you not working for them?

Posted by RWMedia, 06-05-2008, 03:42 PM
No, I am not.. I was listed to post that. Sorry for this mistake.

Posted by AHFBWEB, 06-05-2008, 04:50 PM
Then tell us who the owner of this lil kiddie host is.

Posted by rv_irl, 06-05-2008, 04:55 PM
In your previous post which you edited and removed, you said you worked for them. So why are you lying now? Why did you edit your post and just change the entire story?

Posted by AHFBWEB, 06-05-2008, 04:58 PM
Would you want people to know that this is yours? The truth hurts especially when you have to admit to the suck job being yours.

Posted by RWMedia, 06-05-2008, 04:59 PM
You really are against Kids! You where telling off Skylar a while back! I left Forcium to start my own adventure! Staff member of ForciumHosting told me to Post he had gave me.. Which included "WE"...

Posted by AHFBWEB, 06-05-2008, 05:04 PM
No, I am against kids playing grown up with actual grown ups money.

Posted by RWMedia, 06-05-2008, 05:09 PM
Well that's life! Keep up with it.. You will see so many more.. By the way why would i lie if i didnt own ForciumHosting? ForciumHosting had a downtime because they where updating there server and doing updates as far as i know!

Hello. There seem to be some flaring tempers on all sides of the ring in this thread. I am going to hopefully be able to get the truth of the matter out in the open, and answer any question presented. IA-Forcium - This man has been a great asset to this company, but does NOT work for us any longer. Did he post on our behalf, yes. Does he work for us (any longer) no. AHFB HTML - I am now running this business, and I am not a kid. I am (in the United States) considered an adult at a proud age of 18. The owner of the business is 21, IA-FORCIUM is 19. When it comes to playing with peoples money, we do not play around. Situations worked against our company that caused downtimes, specifically a denial of service attack. WHT Members- I would like to give an explanation (to the best of my ability of the last few days). I have posted this explanation on several other forums, so please forgive the copy and paste. I have some updates on what happened with forcium host (as I am the new customer relations director, as well as the support director.) Four days ago, (before I was brought on board) Forcium Host noticed that their main server was having a major slow down. They raised a ticket with their x-server management company, Platinum Server Managment, and then they waited, praying that PSM would respond quickly. Day 1 went by, no response. Day 2 goes by, no response. Day 3 hits, and I am contacted, and my services requested. I begin working on their server, and the first thing I notice is that everything looks fine, but that apache is very slow. I contacted one of the in house technicians at the datacenter through the owner, and we realized two things. 1. That apache was overloading. 2. The server was under a denial of service attack. We raised the number of requests that apache could process per second, as well as decreased the timeouts to 0.00001 seconds. We installed software firewalls, as well as activated a new hardware based firewall. All of the above changes restored service to our customers, and we are now working on finding the network that attacked us so we can file a complaint. What are we doing differently that will ensure our customers receive the best uptime possible. 1. We are decreasing the amount of overselling we are doing. Some overselling is not a bad thing, it increases the profits that we make on our servers, but we are not interested in cutting quality for profits. We will be making our plans more reasonable, BUT all previous clients will be able to use the plans that they bought. 2. Increasing our firewall protection and adding more intrusion detection We have added a new software and hardware firewall to our servers, and we are looking at ways of installing an intrusion detection system. This will let us know when our clients are under attack so that we can actively block the attackers. 3. Hiring internal support specialist(s) We are working on hiring an internal support specialist who will handle all level 3 support issues.

Posted by Laci, 06-05-2008, 09:35 PM
LOL..... well it does.... I swear someday I and other at WHT are going to need therapy from everything we have seen happen here over the years. Theres an idea for iNet , WHT therapy with a focus on bad, unreliable and kiddie hosts.... they would make a fortune!

Posted by ServerManagement, 06-05-2008, 11:58 PM
It is absolutely impossible that you had a ticket open for 3 days with no response at all. Would you mind providing any proof, such as a copy of the ticket, or the ticket number?

Posted by RWMedia, 06-06-2008, 02:20 PM
The Truth does hurt when im not lieing! Don't just jump in the thread.. Look around and see what's going on.. Then start.. Accusing wrong people is not a good adult sign!

Posted by AHFBWEB, 06-06-2008, 02:54 PM
Can anybody besides this boy find a post where he has told the truth?

Posted by RWMedia, 06-06-2008, 02:59 PM
Here i stated it! To everyone here you seem like more of a Boy! .. What wrong have i said? When i was working for them.. I still had said the truth.. And then when i stopped i still said it? You had accused me of owning it when i didnt..

Posted by AHFBWEB, 06-06-2008, 03:08 PM
No, you just used 63 posts pretending you did until it no longer met your needs.

Posted by RWMedia, 06-06-2008, 03:10 PM
DUDE, A staff himself from FH ADMITTED I quitted! Cut the story now! Your just a person who comes on WHT and trys to accuse every person who is under there 20's! And guess what. Where not gonna take it from you. Come here to talk nicely & Not accuse others. Just carry on.. It will show how "ADULT" you are Last edited by RWMedia; 06-06-2008 at 03:14 PM.

Posted by RWMedia, 06-06-2008, 04:21 PM
Well you can ask AFHB.. Im not against anything! He is just hating on kids in the Hosting business. I think this thread should be stopped here.. It's going nowhere and now FH is back up online.

Kids don't belong in the hosting business.

Posted by Twist3d, 06-06-2008, 08:40 PM
I feel the same way. I don't want kids who are younger than me hosting my websites. I just can't put that much trust into a company that's ran by kids.

Posted by netrage, 06-06-2008, 09:05 PM
Exactly, as we can see from their posts, The communications they send out are full of grammatical and spelling errors. If they can't spell right, how can you be sure they know what they are doing with a server? Also, you have to wonder how well they will communicate problems to their customers and how seriously they take their business. They might just get bored one day and pull the plug, or just neglect it and forget to pay the hosting bill because they spent all the money on other things? Perception is everything, even if they aren't a kiddie host, if they act like a kiddie host, its a warning to stay FAR AWAY!
