Gmail puts mail in spam folder

Hello, one of our new client is complaining that when he send a message through info@hissite.com, it goes to gmail spam folder. but all other mail services (yahoo, hotmail etc) are correctly put in the inbox. We also verified this and yes it is. he is a very new client and not even 10 days old in our server. that domain name even never previously registered before. all this just 10 days or so old. What could be wrong

You usually use something like info@yourdomain.com as receive only address and then distribute it to real addresses. There is not much you can do except to tell his clients to mark the sender as safe...

1.Check rDNS of ip .Is it resolve to client domain name ? 2.Enable SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record.. http://support.google.com/a/bin/answ...n&answer=33786 3.Check content of mail .Usually if mail consist of many hyperlinks ,google sent it to spam folder.

Some good suggestions have already been given to you by other members. I would like to add that google LOVES DomainKeys. New member so I can't post links, but google "DomainKeys" and pick wikipedia or something.

One more thing I would like to add that the emails should not contain large attachments and also there should not be bulk emails with same contents. Gmail may consider them as SPAM.

You said he's a new customer. You may want to also check his dns zone and make sure that the SPF record is current. Sometimes it will still display the ip of another web host.
