I know InnoHosting has their servers at LA. They are pretty reputable, check them out.

There are quite a few reseller hosts that have servers in LA. Might want to search the offers forum with key words Los Angeles to see what comes up.

do you need it to be that local? lol - there are DC's all over Cali so if you could find one I'm sure they'll be fast for you - check the reseller offer section of this forum and ask around - some even publicly state that they have servers in Cali.

Are you looking for a reseller hosting company that is based in LA or do you want the servers to just be located in LA?

I know of datacenters there but don't know of reseller companies located there. I normally would not look at where the company is. The server location is important. I do make sure if I am buying from a company that they are located in the United States or Europe.

I highly recommend www.httpme.com. Their servers are based in Los Angeles, and they are a *very* good reseller provider. Their support is fast and reliable, and they have an excellent reputation here in the forums. Highly recommended, and definately worth the premium price. No doubt about it.

Yes, they are running the older 2.x version of vBulleting, with all latest security updates and patches. (They chose not to update to 3.x branch yet. Not sure why not.) You can see how fast and thorough they are for their server management by simply viewing the announcement forums for any of the servers they manage. I can also vouch for their managed dedicated servers, that they are very pro-active when it comes to keeping up on patches and server software -- they are very good.
