Hello Everyone... I am here because I need some startup guidance for setting up a reseller account with HostGator. I am actually stuck by a couple of queries in my mind, and i hope this is the right place to get it cleared. Lets get to the obvious: I want to setup a reseller account with hostgatorI have a domain to register with reseller account website.I have a budget of about $25-$30 a monthI have my Hosting plan sorted.I have no area/location specification.I have some experience in web designing (rather a beginner's experience) Now my queries are: What next after registering for the program ?Will they help me setup my account ?What should I look into from HostGator once I signup for their program ? (some thing like Billing support, order processing, support system)Will they help me setup a website for the reseller account ? (with regards to providing template service) Thanks, evk_87

I assume that on the first stage you need to have your web site ready and then you will be able to have your web hosting account integrated in that created web site

thnks KDisk, I have few other doubt as well...lets take it one by one... First Doubt: I have seen webhost which something of sorts which automates their process for creating an account. For Eg: If XYZ customer goes to a host, XY selects a plan, XYZ signups, XYZ makes payment, the account for XYZ is created... Now my question is .....is this possible in WHMCS or do we need to use WHMAP ? This doubt crept in my mind, when i watched a couple of videos tutorial related to WHMCS. In which, you have to manually create account for your users everytime... What i want is, I will create a package and let WHM be automated, so that even while i m off to my bed and a customer comes in... he should be able to get his account. Is this scenario possible in WHMCS....??? Or am i have to go to WHMAP ??

It may the lamest question ever.... but what are the basic difference with WHMAP and WHMCS. ?? I know they from different developing community... I know WHMAP no longer provides support... I know WHMCS has good review all over the place... I want to know what makes WHMCS standout WHMAP ?? and also is there any place where i could get more "beginner kind of details" for WHMCS ?? ( ebook, video tutorial of sorts) Thanks, evk_87

Thanks again KDisk, Just out of curiousity.... As i can see, you are into the Reseller field for some long time...with some experience. So how did you startup, I mean when did you move your first brick to build this castle ? What all were your downfalls ? Could we have a short Autobiography of sorts here... This may definitely help a few of us (beginners people), when a PRO speaks about it ! You may wish to avoid answering any of the above question (infact, even all of them), if you feel its too confidental to disclose. Cheers, evk_87
