hetzner expert, can you asnwer my question?

I'm interested to rent EX40-SSD from hetzner, http://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/pro...server/ex40ssd which have 2 x 240 GB SATA 6 Gb/s SSD (Software-RAID 1). The question is: if I'm using hetzner rescue system, can I make it as JBOD (sda and sdb) instead of software RAID 1? I have a plan to use the second HD as plain backup drive. Thanks alot in advance for any advice.

I don't know anything about hetzner, but if it's a software raid, you should be able to just break the raid array, and reconfigure the drives. Pretty sure you wouldn't even have to rebuild if you didn't want to.

Hi sodapopinski, using our Rescue System you can install an OS via our installimage script: http://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Installimage/en This script allows you to setup your own software RAID, or no RAID if that is what you want.
