hello i need to remove all log about login and history details on centos 5 machine to prevent any access log which file should i edit to remove los?

It is not a good idea to remove these logs, but anyhow, you can clear which should do it. If you want to clear all log files and shell history you can do:

if you want to delete history you can delete it by /root/.bash_history history -c or try this:- cat /dev/null > /var/log/messages cat /dev/null > /var/log/wtmp cat /dev/null > /var/log/maillog

In that case the best thing to do is to set up the machine from scratch.
