hi all, me add ip with Add a New IP Address in whm eth0:cp1 created ... i need command for change mac Address eth0:cp1 command ifconfig : eth0:cp1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 0x:0x:0x:6x:4x:Ax inet addr:xxx.xx.xxx.xxx Bcast:198.50.155.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 i use coomand : ifconfig eth0:cp1 hw ether AA:BB:CCD:EE:FF but this command deleted eth0:cp1.... thanks Last edited by YasIT; 11-14-2013 at 04:06 AM.

Is this a dedicated or a virtual server please? Why do you want to change the mac address?

hey its not a good idea to change mac from your command line it will break some services like cpanel its better to reinstall cpanel on new server with new mac(physical address)
