Hello, How to secure sites from being hacked? Do the hosting service providers play a part in protecting our sites from hacking? Awaiting for your reply

Depends on the hack. How are your site being hacked?

Not my site, one of the friends site hacked. So, I was wondering whether webhosting providers provide any kind of security

Hosting providers typically provide security from your account being compromised due to a vulnerability in server software or other accounts, but not due to vulnerabilities of scripts/software you put on your own account and other things that are under your control (eg. password stolen by virus from your computer). The hosting company should be able to help you determine which of the above two categories the problem falls under, and most/many companies will tell you exactly what happened.
