What exactly do you mean by memory allocation in a shared environment?

In php.ini value. For example: HG don't allow to edit this.

I only use HG's shared hosting, but I do see a 64MB memory limit for PHP. If you see a lower value, AFAIK you can increase it to 64MB: http://support.hostgator.com/article...ry-limit-error This is in fact not a limit per end user account, but a limit per script. So, if a customer's website has 2 visitors browsing at the same time, each script they're calling will have up to 64MB of memory at its disposal. http://php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php

As Dan says, it's a setting for PHP and pretty common I should think. Certainly you'll find something in the offers forum and ask a presumptive host to make sure.

I'd double check this with HG if this is the only reason for you switching providers - I'm sure you can setup a 64M memory limit locally

We have reseller accounts on Hostdime for years. Their support is fast and uptime of the servers is good. They create custom php.ini for our resold accounts if our customers ask a modification. But contact them for your requirements.

It sounds like php.ini as its not possible to allocate dedicated memory to individual cpanels on a shared server.
