Cisco ASA Transparent vs Routed Protection?

Posted by Think Tank Networks, 04-12-2014, 07:26 PM
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 and OVH told me that it can only run in transparent mode. With transparent mode, will i still be able to block/allow ports and route those ports to specific IPs?

ASA 5505 can run in routed mode as well. Yes, you can block and allow ports on transparent mode. Your server will need to be in public IP address also.
