worried about semoweb service

Posted by rodrigo olivares, 05-29-2011, 10:10 PM
I'm worried about semoweb service, lately my account and all my clients sites are down very often, I know they were attacked a few days ago, but they change my account of server and the problems continue, I hope they will fix this, I'm in southamerica, I don't want to think that they are putting me at as a last priority, I know they are a budget service, but my clients sites use very low resources and bandwitch, I chose them because of the good reviews, I really don't know what to think right now and I hope the reliability many people talk here in WHT will be true again. pd: and if someone from semoweb ask a ticket, this is it 245009

Hi Rodrigo, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. I am totally sure that being from South America did not put you on the last of the pack or something like that. Coz if it did, nobody should be doing business with them. But I'm about 99.9% sure that they are not seeing where you are from to answer your ticket. Just hold on a little bit and I'm sure they will get to your ticket soon. By the way, how long have you opened the ticket? Or when was your last update to them or vice versa?

How long ago did you place the ticket with them?

They have had anumber of attacks placed towards their service over recent weeks, I believe they are working extremely hard in order to restore FULL service.

Hello, The new server you are on is not facing any known issues, your ticket was answered 11 hrs ago.. you have not replied saying its down since the migration... We need to be informed via the help desk that there was an issue or currently is. I have a strong feeling you are facing some type of dns issues please open a ticket or reply to your existing ticket with the domains you are experiencing connectivity issues with so we can check the dns as well.

Here we go... TADA! SemoWeb to the rescue. Told you that they are not as bad as you think they are. They should have answered the ticket within a few hours at max. A lot of times, tickets which has been answered are stuck in the SPAM box and people tend to think that the host did not reply to them. If they cared to check on the ticket instead of waiting for an email only, I am sure they could have seen the reply there. Sometimes it's just the host which is wrong but sometimes the customers too which is at fault for not checking if there's an update or even if a mail is stuck in the SPAM box.
