Hai folks,
our server had went down today and having an interruption for nearly 3 hours now. when contacted the server provider, they had wrote the following
now how do i convince the clients who does not have any idea on DDoS

Tell them the truth. Explain its a ddos and explain what a ddos is. Explain that it is on the datacenters side and unfortunately its an uncontrollable thing.

ask your DC if they have anti-DDoS solution, it would cost extra, but if you need high availability then this would be the only answer.

You can explain it to your clients generally as an attack.
Secondly, you can ask your provider if you can get DDoS protection that will vacuum the attack leaving your server functional and your clients happy.

DDoS is a huge problem these days in the industry, most if not everyone will understand it sooner or later.
