Space minimum 1GB BW minimum 20GB 1 Dedicated IP Host must not offer any master/alpha reseller accounts USA location Budget is $5/month Can prepay for 3 or 6 months but not longer than that

You cannot find a reliable reseller hosting for this price. Even, most shared hostings are more expensive than. You can buy only a dedicated ip with your budget. Last edited by domaincart; 08-03-2011 at 08:39 AM.

Kind of a broad assumption on your part I believe. Unless you have tried all budget resellers at that price, your statement is nothing but a guess, and a poor one at that. All too often, people will associate low cost with poor service. While that can be true in some cases, it is not true in all cases. I have myself found decent, reliable service at a low cost before, rather than paying what I would call an inflated cost for mediocre service with some bigger named providers. To the OP: You would really have to take the time to research and decide which host would be the best value for your money, check for any reviews, etc before settling on one. You can always find reliable service for an affordable price if you look for it.

You can definitely get what you're after for $5/month. You'd need to ask the provider for a custom package though.

I think $5 is really "low end", you get what you pay for. What I have seen is that this okay for small sites, but once you start gaining momentum you will find that you need more than what a "$5.00 a Month" plan has to offer.I would look at available Web Hosting Review sites, then go from there. Happy Hunting!

you've got a pretty tight budget for the requirements of bundled dedicated IP though, you had not mentioned but I am sure that you would also require best server uptime. I can do a quick research to help you find your dream provider from WHT offers section if you can share what location of servers would fit for you i.e. us, uk, or germany. best of luck

Yup, you should think of increasing your budget. Most resellers I have tried offer a dedicated IP for $2 a month, or $10 a year. Goodluck!

Thank you. Location has to be USA. I can prepay up to 6 months but not 1 year.

Your budget seems a bit low...might want to up it and get a better provider that's more reliable.

Ok, you need to raise that budget I'd say. Often reseller hosting is used to run a business, so it's an expense, so don't start of bad by cheaping out on the infrastructure. Just my 2c.

Budget for the specs isn't bad, but throwing in a dedicated IP might make it a tad bit diffuclt. Most hosts charge anywhere from $1.50 to $3 per IP. Giving a breather room for $2 for the actual hosting (considering the overhead prices), not sure if it can be do-able. However, worth a try. You can always browse the offers section and find a host that suits your taste, send a pre-sales and see if the company can offer you a custom solution!

I know HostGator has done really well with their very low costs. They however don't have anything for $5 that would include a dedicated IP.

whatever you do, don't go with semoweb - very unreliable, going down every single day, support that don't speak english and don't have a clue

Posted by Jutt, 08-04-2011, 10:42 AM
Your budget is too low. you can buy only a dedicated ip though

Posted by ModelWebHost, 08-04-2011, 11:34 AM
What does it mean?

Posted by Jutt, 08-04-2011, 12:32 PM
i think it meanz, there support correspondence unable to speak in English

Posted by ModelWebHost, 08-04-2011, 09:17 PM
How? I have a very good experience with them. I think I am the only satisfied customer nowadays because I am seeing so many complaints about them. They had a good reputation but now what happened to them? Dustin must reshape his services to achieve goodwill again.

Too late for some of us. You get one shot.

The Master and Alpha reseller market is a niche market, Sadly some attempt to under "cut" with stupidly low offers which simply isnt sustainable same go's for particular VPS providers which end up in the lowendbox dead pool for a reason or too With correct resource allocation and good server management having a master reseller account could save you $$$ over having your own server, etc depending on which provider you head with...

Posted by Ixape, 08-05-2011, 07:03 PM
SimplexWebs should be able to provide that for you. Google them and get in touch.

Posted by ultimatewebhost, 08-05-2011, 07:51 PM
Any why would you have such a restriction? I guess any host has a right to decide what to sell/provide?

Posted by Ixape, 08-06-2011, 05:45 AM
Most master/alpha resellers oversell. That's not to say ofcourse that there are some who do a good job of it.

Posted by Server Management, 08-06-2011, 08:22 AM
Everything from bandwidth to airlines are oversold... Overloading is a different ball game and shouldnt be confused with overselling...

Posted by SuperVDS, 08-06-2011, 08:26 PM
I would go with HostGator. I used them years ago and had no problems and good support.

Posted by JixHost, 08-06-2011, 09:49 PM
It means they are not literate or lacking command in the English language. I'll assume it pertains to outsourced or foreign support?

Posted by chasebug, 08-06-2011, 10:16 PM
My experience with providers offering alpha/master reseller accounts are that they oversell and have sluggish servers. I think there is a much higher probability of a host offering those products going out of business.

Posted by philtrix, 08-08-2011, 03:20 AM
Your experience and thoughts are correct and I second your opinion. I would suggest to avoid overselling hosts or the one's that offer alpha/master reseller accounts. If you are looking for a real quality reseller hosting experience and yes a non-overseller, then do take a look at http://www.rshosting.com

Dedicated Ip not possible with this budget. Even if you get it, that would mean the host is not making any money out of this sale.
