Thunderhost.org Closed Down?

Hi all, I have had hosting with Thunderhost.org for a few years. A few weeks ago I tried to logon to the billing area but the site was not found, and the main site is saying it expired in August 2011. However I have had no notification of any change, and my hosting still exists - but unless something changes then I obviously won't be able to renew etc. Has anyone heard what has happened to it? I tried emailing them but obviously that bounced as the domain isn't owned anymore. Thanks, Debbie

If your hosting is still active and online I would suggest backing up and finding a new host.

You are lucky get your backups as soon as possible and begin the task of finding a new host before it is too late.

I would agree with what is being said above - although I just tried loading thunderhost.org and it loaded a blank web-page which is as though someone has just registered the domain or moved to a new server. If there is a break in ownership of the domain I would hurry up to have a full backup of the files and move to a new provider ASAP. (you never know, it may just have been a mistake, or it may have been that the company dropped of the face of the earth and someone new just registered the domain) Wishing you the best of luck with a new provider!

According to whois history, the domain changed ownership yesterday (or today, depending on where you are).

They seem to be off the business. First back up. Then find another host is my advice.
