I have a VPS from Knownhost. An script on this VPS uses PHP's cURL functionality to scrape Google search results. The Google scraper works fine with the proxy functionality disabled. But it does not work at all with the dedicated, private proxies, I bought to use with the script. The proxies are in the form of "ip_address:port_number". Is there something that must be changed on the VPS to make the proxies work? Maybe the firewall?

What port is the script trying to connect to the proxies on?
