hello when i run "freshclam" for update database clamav, i see below error, how i can resolve it? How i can resovle it? Thanks.

You need to update your ClamAV install... To update, run update clamav from terminal. Depending on your OS, you may choose to suffix the command with "sudo" or "yum".. And then try to run freshclam All the best!

Needless to mention, ensure you have full backup of your system before you upgrade ClamAV

rpm -qa |grep clamav What is the result of the above command ? Did you installed clamav using cpanel or via yum ?

IS your cpanel up to date and latest ? If not try updating it using upcp. I normally remove the same installed using cpanel and install using the epel repository.

In that case, you will not be able to get to the latest version using any cPanel supported methods. You can try compiling ClamAV manually with the latest version, but I strongly advise against it. cPanel will eventually update their RPM to the latest version but right now it's not available. I assume you're running cPanel 11.48, and: https://documentation.cpanel.net/dis....48+Change+Log As you can see by reviewing the changelog, 0.98.7 isn't available yet. 0.98.6 is currently the latest cPanel provided version.

Hello, freshclam command is used to updating clamd db, as per above o/p it shows that your clamd db is outdated. When you run freshclam it will update clamd database and sometime at bottom it gives error like freshclam file not found. We would suggest you to remove existing binaries and have it compiled with zlib to have more security using tarball.

Hi, cPanel built and normal built is a bit different in terms of files location. You go to check the cPanel install folder in /usr for third party applications like this. If it is a cPanel built, then with upcp it will update too.
