WHM / WHMCS Auto account creation very slow

Posted by irdeto, 01-17-2012, 05:01 AM
Has anyone experienced an issue with auto account creation where the process is very slow? I am using whmcs5.x and cPanel/WHM. if a customer orders hosting on my site, after payment the site is automatically provisioned. All of a sudden once the customer clicks submit, the customer is forced to wait at least 2 minutes until the site is automatically created and a welcome email is sent. Has anyone else had this issue. It is extremely annoying and I can't find any information about resolving it anywhere.

Are you sure its not your SMTP server? - Ashton

Hey Ashton, what would i check for specifically? Everything else in terms of load times appears okay. But as soon as a customer orders hosting it literally says please wait and takes 2 minutes to create the account. Any ideas?

It means connection between your hosting server and your site. But does it setup after 2minutes? Perhaps the server your creating account is having high loads.

Are you using the same server for your shared hosting clients where you have your hosting website and whmcs integrated ?

hi chatadmin yes it is the same server. i am a reseller. farisasis - yes it does set up after 2 minutes. i am suspicious that perhaps the server is having high loads also but it doesn't appear to show that. server is averaging at about 4.1 5.1 4.6 and RAM utilisation is at something like 25%. this certain server i am on shows it has 16 core cpu's and about 25 gigs of ram. i suspect it must have something to do with my provider but they are not sure what it is.

hi irdeto, 2 minutes is way too long to create a single shared host. Contact your host provider about it. They will fix the server speed.

Have you setup any intermediate check, like we do for fraud orders ? In some cases they cause this problem.

Manually create (Module Commands) a new product instead of using the ordering system, is it still slow? As Ashton said it could be SMTP, are the emails going out?

It could be high IO on server. You may be able to check IO wait if you have SSH access.

Maybe your server usage can high the usage when a client ordered. Check your limit of your server of account In WHMCS Go to Setup > Product/Services > Servers
