WHMEasyBackup; good & secure ?
Posted by reliabilitytester, 01-24-2012, 02:02 AM |
I see this script offered in the ads here for cheap, and wonder if anyone using it will confirm that it is a reasonably secure tool (nothing is ever perfectly secure of course...) and a good solution for those using reseller hosting.
I would also be interested to know if there's been anyone who's used this and still suffered data losses somehow ?
Thanks.

I actually have used this tool for testing purposes for migrating clients, worked a charm and the guy who operates this offers good support as well, its been a while since I last used it for testing.

I also have a good experience with WHMEasyBackup, but it uses a lot of CPU usage.

Hello tihhc,
If you are experiencing high loads when running WHMEasyBackup, try increasing the "backup_sleep" setting. The load is generally caused by the backup process stacking, altering the sleep value will alleviate the issue in most cases.

Agreed, a simple script that gets the job done. Well worth it if you have a reseller account with no other means to backup.
