Migration from Cold Fusion

I got a potential customer with 8k of entries with Coldfusion, he wants to migrate to my standard Linux PHP, any idea how to advise him on the procedures of such a migration? Or is there any server management company I can look for?

You will have to be more specific. 8K entries of what? Generally there is no conversion process to change a language and all of the logic will have to be re-written and the data (database entries) migrated. Very time consuming and usually very expensive. On the other hand, if this is a blog written in CF and that is where the 8,000 entries are, it will be easier (not easy) to write an import/export script to get them into WP or similar.

You can setup coldfusion in the Linux server with Railo and get the site moved easily rather than redoing the software in PHP
