Latehosting: Terrible Support

Posted by hayridumanli, 01-24-2013, 10:31 AM
I bought a Master Reseller Hosting from latehosting.com and paid it. Installation was done immediately, but when I checked WHM and CPanel, I saw that Master Reseller CP was not working. I opened a support ticket, waited for 11 hours, then replied to that ticket, still no answer. Then I tried to chat, but chat was not working, so I sent an e-mail to sales dept via chat. 16 hours passed, still no reply. Now, I applied to cancel my account and make a refund. I will see how late they are in cancellation and refunding, too.

If the Master Reseller CP doesn't work, maybe they have put you on a server that is not for master resellers, by mistake and they need time transferring your account. Anyway.. 16 hours seems a bit too much.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. Please keep in mind though that the sales departments of many hosts aren't 24/7 departments. Have you tried other forms of contacting them such as calling them on the phone?

Jon - Sales arnt going to be responsible for the technical side to Well it seems that this hosts name really reflects it's support... late... Even a message from someone at the company informing you that they will pass it on to the relevant dept/person would of been nice... obviously not.

Yes I know but I'm just saying that if he submitted it to the sales department, he probably wouldn't get a message until normal business hours. Who would be there to forward his inquiry? (Assuming that their technical staff doesn't monitor sales inquires) As for the technical support response time - That could be a problem because that signals that their operation could be a one man band or they just desert their customers' needs.

I suppose, but even if it was a few people running it, assuming they had access to all dept's to refer the ticket to the relevant person

Most companies who hire techs will assign them only to the technical support department so they would be unable to view sales inquires

Most companies would have people who do both, actually.

To be honest, my self I do all departments, and so does my techie, although most of time if I cant respond to a sales enquiry or billing issue etc he'll just let them know that I'll be with them ASAP

Our techs usually reply with a reply saying that the sales dept. is not a 24/7 dept. and we would get back to them shortly. But in case it is something they are well aware of, I don't mind they replying to it.

I wonder if anybody has had direct contact with that host lately?

They sold up last year, no idea who took them on though.

First of all, I sent my support request to sales department, since I couldn't get any reply from support department. Second, it's 24 hours passed, and there is still no reply from support department, my tickets are still open. And of course there is no reply to my Cancellation request from billing department, too. No surprise at all

I also applied to PayPal for refund, maybe PayPal support is faster than LateHosting

Are you referring to NoSupportLinuxHosting here?

For info.. i am waiting for an answer from January 3, 2013. I have opened about 6 ticket (sales/support). No answer. The domain latehosting.com has expired for about 2 days (January 23 and 24) and the vps control panel didn't works (because the domain has been expired) On 25 January the domain return to live.. Anyway no answer to any ticket. If you registered your domain with them, I suggest you to move it out. They don't send you the code to move it out (they don't answer to ticket...) so you must send mail directly to registar, they can help you Hope this help
