3rd Party SSL with 3rd Pary Domain- Where Do I Start?

First I want to say this forum is awesome for a newbie like me! I hate asking for help but I need it. That said- please help. I've set up a Hostgator reseller account under a .biz domain. I purchased a .com through 1and1.com and pointed the dns to my reseller account. On top of that I acquired a SSL certificate for the .com domain name and it is "installed" per Hostgator with a dedicated IP. Everything should be gravy right? The only thing is, when I type in the .com domain it still is directed to the 1and1 page that says "this domain name has just been registered" even though it should have propagated a while back. When I include https my internet browser doesn't come up with a page. Aside from too many 3rd parties, where did I go wrong and do you know how I go about fixing it? Thanks in advance!

Ask hostgator to take a look at your issue. Also check the snameservers are configured properly at intodns.com/domain.com

Double check that the nameservers are pointed correctly and if they are, all you need to do is clear your browser cache and flush your DNS cache and it should be working fine. Here's a documentation that may help you: http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/vie...ngBrowserCache

I agree - check you nameservers are set correctly and ensure your browsers cache has been flushed. I would also recommend using intodns.com this may flag up some errors in your DNS configuration.

You guys were correct. I only had one IP address assigned for the dns and that website intodns.com is a very usefull tool! Thanks for the quick replies! Stephen
