Server Monitoring and DC reboots

Posted by Gigaron, 06-19-2009, 01:10 AM
Can someone respond with a review of http://www.platinumservermanagement.com/ ? Do they really reboot servers within 15 minutes? Or at least submit tickets to Data Centres on your behalf within 15 minutes? I'm just about to sign up with them but just want to get someone's feedback? Anyone else around who performs this service? Thanks.

They will submit tickets to the DC on your behalf, or unless the DC provides remote reboots and you give them access to it.

I know they say they do this... But is it actually done within 15 minutes in reality. I had providers before say they do this and that... 3 hours later my server is still down and its a nightmare if I was on holiday. I'm even scared to go to bed

I'm not so sure about that, but I believe they will contact the DC (if there are no remote reboot available) or reboot remotely with the control panel access your DC gave and passed the access to PSM. I believe they will keep their word, given their number of happy clients. However, if the DC decides to screw around, it can't be helped.

PSM seems to have a great reputation for their monitoring and reboot service

PSM is an excellent service. They provide the services that they describe.

The monitoring that PSM offers is really a top notch thing. I've never had a problem with it because it always works and they do what they say so saves me time.

Dead on. I've used them in the past and they deliver what they promise.
