Well you first started off this topic as "We got a ton of email spam from offers@hostechsupport.com last night.." And then you reveal it's only 9. Then you give another update with a new number of 31. It's either you dont know how to block them ( Let us know maybe we can help) or your trying to simply just bash this host. Like i mentioned aswell as another member here is simply block them and move on.

We have received quite a few of their spams .... Seems the owner of hostech is least bothered to address this thread and is busy active only in the employment section forums.. Last edited by Abbie; 07-19-2009 at 01:10 AM.

It may be that if someone has used 50 throwaway addresses on 50 occasions to deal with someone, then when that someone sends an announcement, the person behind the 50 throwaway addresses gets 50 copies. This is a side effect of using throwaway addresses and is not the responsibility of the party who does not know that they all lead to the same place. The emails may be covered by their tos if someone has ever done business with them. That is, there is a business relationship. That includes having sent a one off inquiry. As far as a certain party not joining a party, there is very little point in commenting in a thread where one is going to be pilloried no matter what one says.

You could be right here plumsauce.. however this does not make complete sense in this case.. Never in our life have we done any kind of business with hostech nor have ever done any kind of communication (via email, phone, live chat, personal etc) with them. Its a pure spam, i.e an unsolicited commercial e-mail that they have been sending to web hosting companies.

I can block it just fine, and I guess maybe I was in a bit of a trolling mood.

I have gotten them as well. Must be hit hard by the recession to resort to such an unprofessional way of trying to gain new business.
