EZPZ Hosting - Reseller good?

Posted by Pressure Hosting, 01-17-2014, 09:35 AM
Hi, I have previously had discussion on here about ResellerClub and their reseller hosting packages, however many people have suggested avoiding them for hosting. A few people have advised EZPZ Hosting. I have looked at there site and am impressed with what they offering: white label support, WHMCS, legal documents, etc... However I am worried about what there servers are like (fast?) then today, when I finally decided that I was going to go with them, there was this post in the web hosting section: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1339914 . Does anyone one have any experience with EZPZ hosting? Would you recommend them? Thanks! Ross

They have been suffering from "growing pains" I think someone once said. Support has been slower than usual but their rep here, Dan, said all of that is in the process of being taken care of. They're a fast growing company so this is to be expected.

I've only heard good things about them, except as stated above about their growing pains. I can recommend CrocWeb for reseller hosting.

Ive been with them for over three years(Reseller & VPS's)... A few hiccups but mostly nothing but praise. I'm confident Dan will rectify the recent concerns many have... I believe he's taking the right steps. Who are their competitors concerning end user support? -Innho? (The HD space vs money is a deal breaker for me) -GreenValueHost? Been around since 2012 and ezpz 2011 I think. costs look great and reviews state ticket reply time is great. But they have no estimated ticket reply time for end user support. Their costs are wicked attractive though. -Skynethosting? No master reseller accounts I think. Last edited by ilovetheheat; 01-17-2014 at 11:26 AM.

Their a good provider, as others have mentioned their going through a bumpy time with how fast they have grown but Dan said he is on the case. There are going to be bad reviews about everyone company that's just the way it is, from my dealings with Dan and EZPZ you wont be disappointed.

we started our hosting company with them and overall they are good

This is an excuse he is using for a bad service, I have had trouble with his support far before, his growing pains this has been an on-going for about 3 years his techs struggle answering your support, then ignore you until he comes on line. Like someone else posted in a another thread it just excuse for an ongoing issue.

I used to like them a lot, but my overall opinion of EZPZ seems to be going downhill lately. I wouldn't recommend EZPZ at this point in time, but I would recommend InnoHosting.

EZPZ have been around since 2007.

Thanks, what there reseller plans like? Servers speeds? Is there free legal documents they offering any good? Overall how are there features? Thanks for these posts! Making my decision slightly easier! Ross

The legal documents is just a terms of service. It's about the same one that EZPZ uses themselves. Some of their servers are slightly overloaded. Their hosting is very high on features though with free SSL certificates, daily R1Soft backups, LiteSpeed and CloudLinux. The resellers also come with WHMCS, which is a major plus in my book

I am also considering EZPZ. Though they gained some bad rep in recent days, any professional hoster should have the ability to overcome its 'growing pains', I believe. Besides the pricing they offer, comparing to features I don't mind having slow response time if they can assure 99.9% uptime. Its the most I care.

Legal documents are the last thing you have to worry about as there are lot on the net and you can make your own using a template. The main things you should be looking for is reliability, server uptime and features that they offer.

i find it funny people keep saying "growing pains"; they dont have any growing pains its just an excuse they use every few years when it hits the fan. its poor server management and poor company management. All these web hosts around why none of them have growing pains? ezpz aren't even a registered company and no vat registration. So they arent even earning 50-60k per year from their EU client base but still theyre growing fast? if you want to risk your company and your business and your reputation on a company that uses masks whats really going on by putting a positive spin on it like growing pains then be my guest but for those with common sense will see right through the BS they are being fed. thats why so many people get burnt in the industry; provider gives a BS excuse and everyone believes it and blows the same trumpet. go figure.

That is true and I agree with you absolutely. For beginners like me it is also hard to find a good hosting company. May be I am not trying hard enough. I need a hosting solution around $200 per year budget so that I can sell reseller hosting. My budget is cozy. Can you suggest some more names within this budget?

In all fairness I don't tend to get much problem with downtime. It's usually always up and I might get the odd 1 minute downtime once every month/couple of months. I had quite bad/high server response for about a week though (a few weeks ago), but didn't suffer any downtime. Recently not had any problems with them.

Thanks a lot for confirming my assumptions. I still think they are considerable for starting own reseller hosting.

I agree, I'm using them for that (sort of). The support is not too bad at the moment usually within 30 minutes, some times a few hours but not too much of a problem (unless its an emergency). Most of the problems they've i've had are now fixed (emails, backups) and haven't had any problems recently - so along as things stay like this and they've got past the growing pains then there really shouldn't be any problems. They are also working on a new end user support plugin, so if they do manage to get this out I think it'll prove they are actively trying to make themselves better. p.s. loads of new names on support as well so they've definitely been hiring, so they'll only get better as time progresses.

On their page, they said resellers can offer VPS/Servers. Is this a white label commision based program or is the sales done under their brand? Do you know anything about it?

Posted by user1h2u11, 03-31-2014, 05:20 PM
Under the client area there is a section for that, it lets you see all the discounted services (VPS & Dedi - shown just like it is for normal ones). I think you buy them as you from your account, through their client area and then just pass the details on to your clients (so you setup the product on your site, but set it to pending after order). I'm pretty sure thats how it's done, but you could ask them for a definite.

That's right. I have ben talking with Alex via live chat and I have to say, live support is slow. I am getting 2/1 answers per 24 hour. While I think they will improve, Can you think of any alternative?

Posted by Sidekick, 04-01-2014, 03:11 AM
My support ticket has been unaswered for 18 hours now.

Posted by MechanicWeb-shoss, 04-01-2014, 10:03 AM
They need to improve this fast.

EZPZHosting is a good and reputable company, I recommend them.

Posted by Ninjapanther Hosting, 04-01-2014, 12:34 PM
They alway take ages to answer tickets what new and they always blame it on growing pains.I would not get a resellers from EZPZ if they gave it away for free there hosting is rubbish.
