Stay away from youhosting - it's a scam

I have been member of youhosting more than 2 months and here is my experience with youhosting: There were frequent downtimes when my clients had to suffer. And most importantly... They suspend the free accounts every month. My dashboard showed that i had more than 5000 unique visitors each month and more than 60 clients but still they suspended my accounts.. Here is the email i received in both months: Email 1: YOUHOSTING.COM ACCOUNT SUSPENDED Your administrator has been suspended due to inactivity or violation of our Terms Of Service. To get your account reactivated, please click on the ticket link and submit your reply (do not reply to this email). Explain us why this violation has occurred and steps you will take to make sure it will not happen again in future. If no valid explanation will be received in 14 days, your account will be closed. Reason: YouHosting.com administrators must have active clients and accounts. You have not had any active clients and accounts so your YouHosting.com profile was suspended for inactivity. Related URL: Thank you for using our services, Email 2: Subject : Re: Do you support PERL Content : Your account was most likely suspended because you do not get any new clients for your hosting account and do not offer hosting for other people. YouHosting is made to offer free or paid hosting services for other people and not to host personal sites only. If you need your account reactivated, please explain in detail the steps you are going to take in order to get your account active. If no valid explanation is received in 14 days, your account will be closed. Thank You, Helpdesk Staff I have never used the site for any personal sites..I have even had press release of the site and it has been in media.... And both times they sent the same email...first time they reactivated my account when i gave them the stats from dashboard but second time, they suspended my account.. So youhosting is a scam....If they want to do this, then the better way is to offer a 1 month trial and then ask the customers to upgrade..but this suspension shows they are nothing but cheats... I understand that nothing in the world is free but scamming a person saying it is free and then causing such kind of issues is nothing but cheating the customers.. The other free reseller hosting providers may not be white labeled as youhosting, but they don't scam the customers like youhosting.... My clients data is lost and my company's reputation has been affected considering that the site was in press... I was going to buy vip plans soon..but i won't do it now...because if they cheat their customers like this, then they will cheat even their paid clients..... What is better? Not being totally white labelled or losing goodwill of clients by losing their data after a month..... So youhosting is a scam...i advise everyone to stay away from youhosting...... i will post this message on other boards also to inform people so that they don't get scammed..... Moreover.. They make you feel as if you are a criminal...the messages they send of suspension is like as if they are cbi and the customer is a criminal who has committed a big crime... they don't even send warning before suspension

You can report your domain to the mods by using the report button, your domain will remain private and won't be revealed.

Reseller hosting is not something that can be offered for free, because of that fact this isn't surprising at all. There are a few reputable providers that offer services for as little as $10/mo, a small price to pay to avoid situations like this.

Were you getting new clients? I think it's like 25 per month or something like that.

His free reseller account (I repeat, FREE RESELLER) was suspended because he didn't get any new clients. He can contact support to get his account reactivated, especially if he's willing to pay for an upgrade. Besides, a scam can only be considered such when something is actually stolen from you. You used a free service so they had no obligation to provide you with any service whatsoever.

Inactivity in this instance appears to be that you are not a good enough revenue source for YH. Not really what you would call a scam. Long term they have probably done you a big favour. Move on and build your business on a platform you have more control over. Good luck!

YouHosting staff here. Accounting our terms you must have active clients. If you do not have active clients your FREE reseller account is suspended and then removed in order to consume server resources. We are also happy to unsuspend any account for unlimited times and give you more time to promote your brand.

YouHosting He stated he had 60 customers over more then a two month period, and provided screenshots. I would consider that pretty active.... How do you guys determine wether its an "active" account?

Misspelled whether***

I don't have access to YH's stats, but I'd say he got 60 signups, not 60 clients. YouHosting only counts clients who have an account for at least 30 days with a website uploaded and a few visitors. I'm guessing he didn't have 10 of those.

Interesteing! 60 active clients fail not ensure that the account is active! how more activity needed!
