Reliable Reseller, around $20/month

Posted by DevDD, 03-08-2014, 11:15 AM
Hello everyone I'm looking for a reliable reseller host, here are some of my preferences : Disk Space : 40-60GB Bandwidth : 600+GB Control Panel - Cpanel - Unlimited accounts Like I said earlier, must be reliable - good support, low downtime etc. Freebies like WHMCS/ClientExec, Sitebuilder. I'm willing to spend upto $20/₹1200/£10. There are about 15 companies that I have identified but I'm not too sure. Here's the list (not in any specific order) inmotionhosting.com 247-host.com hostpapa.com justhost.com hosting24.com midphase.com bounceweb.com arvixe.com websound.com hostwithlove.com host4geeks.com resellerclub.com hosting.india.to bigrock.in resellerhome.in I'd be happy to consider some other hosts too, if they fit the preferences.

Thanks for your consideration! Do you have any location preference?

Thank you for the consideration as well

Does $20 include the cost for the billing system as well?

Posted by DevDD, 03-08-2014, 11:32 AM
An Asian server will be preferable but not a necessity. It's support and service I'm looking for. Edit @NEQ3 - Sam - Yes

Buget is a bit low if quality is an important criteria. It's interesting to see how you come up with such a long list of potential providers. Some of them seem fairly new to business.

Posted by thedediguy, 03-11-2014, 09:49 PM
Agreed. If that is including a billing system then already your chosen host is going to be loosing at minimum $8 / £5 so 40-60gb disk plus 600gb bandwidth? I will say your budget is way too low, you need to be looking at £30 / $35-$40 a month for something like that package. Or go lower by disk say 30GB / 500GB bandwidth would be more abouts £20 - Shop around but be aware you do get what you pay for, and sure you want quality so be careful and let us know who you choose!

Thank you for taking a look at us. We do offer a free WHMCS license with our reseller accounts and yet sustain the prices since we are able to procure the licenses at bulk which lowers the price that we incur on them, quite significantly.

I've actually trimmed that list down to 4 as of now and I'm looking at Bluehost Hosting24 Bigscoots and Host4Geeks Any feedback on them will be highly appreciated.

Posted by DWS2006, 03-12-2014, 08:11 AM
I don't want to bash a provider, but I would research Bluehost a bit here on WHT and Google, I think you'll find that reviews consistently indicate slow servers and inefficient support. Obviously, they are a large provider and do have satisfied clients, but definitely something to consider.

Happy to have made the list Be sure to let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

What about SkyNetHosting? Anything on them?

Posted by reldegart, 03-12-2014, 11:57 AM
i suggest crocweb. they are great.

Posted by jrianto, 03-12-2014, 01:55 PM
I would recommend Site5 to you. Also, whichever host you go with, always store your backups outside of your web host. All the best with your web hosting business.

Woohooo! We made it to the list. Any questions or info, just let me know.

Wwhat stands out to you about those providers? Letting us know this helps us suggest the best one for you.

All 4 are offering the kind of features I'm looking for within my budget. From the research I've done they all seem credible and good service providers. I'm also willing to stretch my budget upto $25/£18 if that means finding the right host. I will only take my final decision in the first week of April.

Posted by alex0, 03-16-2014, 01:51 PM
Well, the budget seems to be perfectly fine but that might not include the billing system like whmcs (inclusive). Check out the offers section too, here at wht

Hi DevDD, Plenty of providers in the offers section, when you do find a provider provide us a review it helps others that are looking for hosting and good luck in your quest.

I've tried a few of the providers that you mentioned ... hosting24 is bad, they offer WhiteLabel but the fact is not... they offer Weekly backups but the fact is not, my account is only 100-500MB/account but they say "Your account is too large so there is an error occurred when the backup runs" Arvixe, their support is very slow, their response my ticket in 24 hours... HostWithlove, i have account with them, and so far they have a good service and fast response... their support is very helpful

I would recommend BigScoots. They know what they're doing. We used them briefly, but we couldn't use them because our WHMCS license didn't work on their network. We would go back to them in a heartbeat, and we're even considering buying a dedicated server from them. I would consider them the Ritz of hosting providers -- "No" is simply not a word in their vocabulary. Furthermore, they go above and beyond to offer solutions. They're a little expensive but worth every penny. This is not good at all. The only time that this is an acceptable answer is when the provider is using cPanel default backups. At about 4 GB in size, the backups start getting a bit unreliable and extremely slow. Usually this is detailed in the terms of service. Last edited by AcclaimedHost Alan; 03-19-2014 at 01:15 PM. Hello, Feel free to reach out to me if you have any outstanding issues. I can be reached at adam[at]arvixe[dot]com. Also, if you have an urgent issue, feel free to escalate the issue via live chat or telephone. Thank you!

Same with 247-host, their response really slow too.

Posted by Arvand, 03-19-2014, 04:02 PM
Adam responded to your post here in 40 minutes. If you look at our forum, we are responding to posts as well there in less than 20 minutes. We do handle thousands of tickets, chats and calls daily. And issue from issue is different. So response time from response time is different. and I hope you appreciate using a company that cares about their product but is large enough to sustain your growth...

If you try to stretch out a bit more with your budget, go with managed VPS. US and UK located VPS are about $30/mo for the starter plan.

Posted by DevDD, 03-20-2014, 04:52 AM
Thank you all for your feedback, it always helps to identify better service providers. Alan, I too feel BigScoots is great, the few questions I'd asked them were replied to satisfactorily and the response time was extremely good too, the only negative (if you can call it that) is they're offering a ClientExec license and I'm leaning more towards WHMCS. Haha, you suggesting that is a co-incidence . I've been thinking about a VPS for the past two days now. The only point being I haven't been able to identify any that fits into what I'm looking for (the little research I've down here). I'm willing to push up the budget to $45-50 for a good managed VPS with WHM with Softaculous, WHMCS, domain/SSL reseller, 50GB disk space, 700GB+ bandwidth, 2 dedicated IPs, white label friendly, sitebuilder. It'll be great if someone could suggest a few. Edit : ezpz is providing their starter VPS with all those features for £30 but are they still reliable (reading all about what's going on these days) Last edited by DevDD; 03-20-2014 at 05:06 AM.

I definitely recommend choosing WHMCS over ClientExec.

Posted by DWS2006, 03-20-2014, 06:21 PM
After all these years CE still contains many of the mathematical anomalies it started with. Both Blesta and CE are hamstrung by their inability to handle basic billing tasks (like Pro Rata + Promo Codes) efficiently.

Bigscoots and Host4geeks are good, while Bluehost, being purchased by EIG and being such a big company, I don't really recommend it. Hosting24 is basically the paid version of 000 web host, which oversells and has bad support. I've never personally used skynethosting before, but from what I've seen here on WHT, it seems to have some bad reviews floating around, so I wouldn't recommend that. Yes they are pretty good. Good luck, hope that helps! Last edited by rcchang; 03-21-2014 at 10:00 PM. Reason: grammar mistakes

With these specs, I have only Eleven2 in mind as I have used there services. Support is not too good but normally you will get ticket reply within 2 or 3 hours. Currently there live chat is very bad.

BlueHost or HostPapa may be good choice.

HostGator is the best. Used it for 2 years!
