Nexcess' Dearborn, MI Data Center to Undergo SSAE-16 Audit by BrightLine

Ann Arbor, Michigan, March 28, 2011- Nexcess, an Enterprise eCommerce hosting provider whose wholly-owned facilities reside in Dearborn, Michigan, has announced an SSAE-16 type I and II standards audit of their data center by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc, formerly SAS 70 Solutions, Inc.

The SSAE-16 auditing standard is a recent evolvement of the SAS70 audit, which intends to align US companies with the international standard, ISAE 3402. In brief, this audit will consist of an in-depth analysis of both the human and technical systems that power Nexcess services. This process is designed to help in guaranteeing a higher level of security and reliability in hosting the type of sensitive eCommerce operations for the clients of Nexcess.

"One thing that has always set Nexcess above the competition has been our compliance with industry standards," stated Chris Wells, President & CEO of Nexcess, "When you assume responsibility for hosting such an important array of enterprise eCommerce operations, the quality of your data center's operation needs to exceed in every possible area, and that's exactly what these types of audits help to assure."

SSAE-16 was formally issued in June of 2010, however this standard has been given an effective date of June 15, 2011. After this time, U.S. companies that perform outsourced services affecting the financial statements of other companies will likely be asked to provide an SSAE-16 Type II Report, especially those which are publicly traded.
