Hello, I am wondering what I would need to resell shared hosting from a VPS. Do I need a cPanel license for every client or one for all? Do I need a different IP for every client? What are the differences between normal reseller hosting and reselling shared from a vps? Pro's & Con's? What are the specs I should look for? Thanks in advance!

You only need 1 cpanel license and 1 shared ip for all your clients. With VPS, you have full control when it comes to configuration, etc.... but make sure you go for managed vps if you do not know how to manage it.

Doing it from a VPS grants you access to create reseller accounts - a normal reseller account (that isn't an alpha/master/whatever-reseller type solution, which I would generally not recommend) won't. You'll also, as mentioned, have full access to any configuration - which you won't as a standard reseller. With the above power comes a cost, of course. A standard reseller account can start at less than $20/mo, whilst cPanel licensing on a VPS is ~$15 alone. Which you choose is entirely up to you, both are viable options when starting out!

You only need one dedicated IP address and one cpanel license 1. Need more budget, you must to understand manage/troubleshoot/configure server, you have full access so you can customize to your needs, 2. Cheaper than VPS, you do not need to managed server because it has been done by the upline so you can focus on selling, your access is limited, if you have problem out your level, you must contact your upline so, adjust to your needs and your budget CMIIW

You don't need more than 1 IP if your clients do not require. 1 shared IP would be enough
