hi all im having an issue i have a website and email im hosting on my vps everything was working well but yesterday i was not able to access that website anymore. if i try to browse the site i get "server DNS address could not be found." if i try to ping it i get could not find host. the funny thing is all other website on my vps with same server ip works fine only this one. the other thing is i have set up email in outlook for that domain let say domainx.com. if i try to browse domainx.com cannot access it but in outlook email@domainx.com i can send and receive email without a problem. its not just from my pc but other devices laptop ,ipad. but only on my phone i can access the site and ping it using ping tools all connect on same network. anyone from other network can access the site just fine.

The best way in this situation is asking your provider to help you and look from their side. They always have more tools and possibilities to look deeply into the issue. From the other hand that could be your ISP related issue - in this case that could be temporary. I would recommend you to wait a bit and then start contacting your VPS provider in order to investigate that all.

Do you have a static IP address in your network? Did you set any IP restriction for the website in your VPS?

Perform a traceroute to the domain from your machine and check if it completes.

If you are able to access the site when added in hosts file, then it may not be an IP problem. Check your site at http://www.intodns.com/ Are any errors listed? Also, is your domain up for renewal or something? Also, if the problem is specific to your machine alone, try disabling the firewall and antivirus software at your end. May be that helps.

you can check mx records of domainx.com whether it works well. if email is not accessed, even though lookup is normal, the problem may be related with email company.
