Idrac - virtual console preview

Hi, Is it possible to have the virtual console preview of ID rack to STAY LOGGED-IN? I love to be able to see what's going on on the server without seeing the details of it... just to make sure everything is still running as it should... but this preview console is useless (unless Launched) since it only shows CTRL-ALT-DEL to log in ... I don't really want to launch it because 1) i don't want to micro-manage the server; and 2) I don't want the console to steal cpu power, ram and internet speed for no reason. If not possible, any other software could do that? Thanks again.

So you want to see what's on the console but without logging into the console? I think you may have to explain again what you want to see exactly. Sounds like you just want to monitor the resource usage, for which there is plenty of software but any will consume more resources than just logging into the console or RDP'ing into a server.

humm that makes sense i thought for a moment that signing in in idrac was enough... since windows was already operating on the dedicated... thanks does MSTSC consume more resources (on the dedi) than idrac to monitor the dedicated?

The iDRAC web interface times out after (I believe) 15 minutes with no activity. But if you launch the JAVA console, this keeps you logged into the servers console at all times.
