I would like to point out a really awful webhost called idlehosting.com and show folks idlehosting's downtime record to hopefully deter anyone from purchasing webhosting from idlehosting. So far in December my sites have been down 94 times for a total of 97 hrs, 30 mins, giving a uptime of 77.326%. In addition they are actually unreachable 100% of the time this last week, i.r., 7 whole days. Somehow siteuptime server are able to show idlehostng and my domain hosted there as being available Fortunately I don't have any sites on their servers that I actually use. I just refuse to give up my account because it was a year purchase and the owner would just resell the space and make a profit in the future if they ever try to become a webhost again. I believe they have gone awol, so to speak, but don't believe that idlehosting or it's owner Billy should ever be able to sell webhosting space. I was suckered by the price, and have learned a vast amount over the few months of hosting websites with idlehosting. I was chumped, but don't believe that others should be chumped. For the learning experience I commend idlehosting for making me a smarter and more savy webhost shopper. Also, if the owner of idlehosting happens to read this I invite him to debate the problems idlehosting.com has had these past 6 months in a public forum thus giving him the chance to refute any or all of my claims. If anyone would like to do a whois search for vitwmedia.org, the site that I have hosted on idlehosting, they will find the owner of the domain to be the owner of idlehosting.com and as such should provide enough proof of the awful record of downtime.
