Please wait atleast 2-3 minutes before making such a post. This is waste of your time, our time, and WHT readers time. This could have been a momenary loss of a route, a small flood being filtered, or something similar that caused the router CPU to spike. The router does take a minute to re-balance traffic, or deal with the issue, in such cases. MODS: Please delete this thread...it is quite jumping the gun...and the topic quite incorrect. How so? This is called "Network Outages and Updates" the network was DOWN wether or not it was only a few mins does not really matter, the fact of the matter is it was DOWN.

It was not "down"...your own traceroute posted even shows traffic going thru! A more appropriate title would have been: "BurstNET/Nocster Issues" or "BurstNET/Nocster Packet Loss". A report on 60 seconds of issues, which are part of life on the Internet, does not due anyone any good, especially your own provider. A post such as this leads me to believe you are sitting there constantly pinging the network, waiting for any slight traffic oddity, and jumping to WHT to post about it immediately, without waiting to see if it clears up within a few seconds. If clients did this for every provider out there, the WHT server would be overloaded, this happens so often on the Internet. Also, you shouldn't be assuming the network is down just because "you" cannot get thru, or are having problems. 'You" are only one route, and doesn't mean other routes are having the same issue. In the future, if you are going to jump the gun, atleast post traceroutes from other locations as well. SMA PRES/CEO Last edited by HostJedi; 12-29-2003 at 05:11 PM.

FWIW We monitor some servers at burst from ev1 - and it was not down at all today from our logs. Closing thread.
