Probably best to check again after a few minutes before posting in here. I didn't notice any downtime on my managed.com box. Sirius

How about you actually ping it, try httpd, ensim/cpanel, ftp, alertra.com before posting that "MANGED IS DOWN AGAIN, AM I GOING TO DIE!?!?!?" posts.....

Sure, However I did Ping it and I got nothing, and then went in a wild panic, like a WebHost usually does Ill make its down for 15 minutes before sending in a post. James P-M

I think the problem most people would have, eventhough you will wait 10 more minutes next time, is just because your server is down doesn't necessarily mean all of managed's server are down. Imagine how saturated this board would be if everytime a managed.com, or EV1, or SererMatrix customer servers was down they fired off an email stating that " is down?!?!". There would be thousands a day. I'm just saying next time try the ping, http, ftp, and do a traceroute. In most cases the only thing is down would be your server. If your traceroute comes back with major lag up the pipe, then its probably the network.. Its just a little advise for the future. I'm not jumping on you or anything, it'll help you in the future

The least anyone can do when their IP address is unreachable is to try and ping the IP's around yours (same subnet). If at least one replies, then it's your box (or the switch, which occurs on a rare base). If we'd all be posting here when our boxes crashed, I'm leaving WHT... Carl
