Only their web server for the domain managed.com is down. Their network is still up and running fine.

no, i think some of their network is down as well ... can others check their servers? in 66.79.185.* & 66.79.168.*

One of my managed.com IP's is 66.79.166.190 and it's up and running fine. Perhaps they are adding their new bandwidth and transferring some servers over to that?

Moved to network outages and updates...

ya, this is sad, at least 3 hours, my servers in: 66.79.185.* 66.79.168.* are not accessible, but pingable (something with their routers?) no replies to email, no warning

my server working fine, but can not access the root or WHM/cpanel

Might have been a routing problem to the 'net. I got siteuptime.com monitoring from 3 locations, and only the Chicago stat's showed a problem. Maybe the DDoS attacks that have been smashing links off the 'net, hit Chicago? ~Francisco

Forumz, Are the ports still open on your machine - try 'telnet yourhost.com 22' - it should give you your OpenSSH banner message. Or try using nmap to see what ports are open. If it get's that far, but you are still unable to login using your SSH client, it might be a DNS issue - can you remember what IP address(s) are in /etc/resolv.conf ? If it is a DNS issue, the lookup will timeout eventually and you should be able to log in. Managed did have an issue with one of their nameservers this morning, so it could be related.

I'm using my own DNS servers, but I'm not even trying to access the servers by domain, i am trying by IP, so DNS shouldn't be the issue 'telnet IPADDRESS 22' .. doesn't connect When I try other IPs in my subnet, it gives the ' OpenSSH banner message' The thing is that the problem is on 2 servers on two separate subnets.

sshd (by default) does a reverse lookup on the remote host when connecting - this is part of the mechanism it uses to verify host access. If there is a problem with DNS, it can cause a delay, even if you connect by IP. Other than that, it would be difficult to diagnose the problem without knowing your IP addresses. Any luck from Managed.com yet?

I have sent 2 emails, and called 2 times .. still no help from them. 66.79.185.10

did a full nmap scan on my IP and it revealed that packets are being filtered and dropped for port 80 The issue is likely of Access List / Router Firewall ... now looking into ServerMatrix, i guess I had learn the hard way ...

Their main site seems to be loading fine for me, responded rather slow though.

Looks fine to me, have they fixed it? $ telnet 66.79.185.10 80 Trying 66.79.185.10... Connected to 66.79.185.10. Escape character is '^]'. yes, that server they just put online. The other one is still down. After 16 hours, and no response, this is the response "Hello, Standby. Both servers will be turned back on within 15 minutes. I'll need to check with accounting about this matter" ------- If this means that they may have shut down 2 productions servers because of some 'accounting mixup' ... that's bad, very bad. I just checked my account, and they had charged the card on file on 23rd , for both servers. ...how can a company turn off your servers, without a single email being sent, and then ignore emails for like 15 hours ?

We're down here too. We're paid up as well. on IP 66.79...

both my servers are up. All traffic to both servers was filtered out by their router/firewall. (no explanation given)
