just me?

Posted by SoftWareRevue, 03-12-2004, 12:40 PM
Apparently. If it were anyone else, the thread would be full. If the domain in your signature is one, it works fine.

I think I'm having problems. Not sure if it's because I was playing with DNS zones though.

yeah ive noticed its now working for everyone else apart from myself. i cant access any site in their whole datacenter

My guess would be its just you, as no one else is having problems, including our servers with Burstnet. Might want to check their forum first before posting here...If their forum is down then somethings going on

Posted by MikeC, 03-12-2004, 02:23 PM
ive tried their forum also and nothing, my pings time out and not even getting help off of aim. ive also contacted my isp to see if its their side.

Next time try using www.alertra.com and check your site, maybe its up, but just down for you or your ISP.

thanks i thinik this can be closed now tis back to normal

Posted by SoftWareRevue, 03-12-2004, 08:59 PM
But, did you find out what it was? I don't think anyone reading the thread would think it was Burst. But, someone might. Besides, I'm just a curious kinda soul.

Posted by MikeC, 03-13-2004, 04:41 AM
ive got not the slightest clue what it was, i get no reply from burst on aim (only way of contact) and no contact from my isp it just fixed itself out of nowhere.

It goes up.. and it comes back down. And the wonderfull PL is back (pings sent from 4 different sites with about %30 loss) Anybody else having problemos?

Posted by whmcsguru, 03-15-2004, 07:30 PM
Loads fine from here 61ms trace, can't get much better than that When opening a thread in these particular forums (outages), it's best if you post a traceroute, so we can see where the problem is at.

Ping statistics for 66.197.230.249: Packets: Sent = 20, Received = 20, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 53ms, Maximum = 58ms, Average = 54ms I'm not noticing anything either.

Try contacting them first before starting a thread...its not down, if their site is up its up. No packetloss here. Just you bud.

Their site is also going down and up. I am trying from two florida providers here both seem to get about the same results. I have no problems with non burst sites. Me to my server A site on a sprint network to burst.net.

Actually, Verio is having issues in Philadelphia again. They are currently replacing routing gear, and it is causing BGP issues. They are probably replacing temporary gear they used last week for repair when all Verio Philadelphia was down. We have re-routed our traffic for now, so everything should be fine again. Once they complete their routing work, we'll start passing traffic to them again.

Thanks for the response. It would be nice is verio would replace equipment during the night but I know you guys have no control over that

Not only that, but it would have been nice for them to give us some advance notice too :-) I guess they figured that since the circuit would not go down, and would just stop announcing half their normal routes, that we wouldn't notice.

My pings on my burst server have dropped. I've moved and am now at nac which has had a few problems the last few days.

We are pushing traffic again towards Verio. Their maintenance is completed.
