Is everybody at colomax.com / nrsoftware.com down or is it just their sites? Last edited by mppedersen; 07-24-2004 at 04:42 PM.

Looks like they are back up, I am considering changing to their datacenter and it a little disconcerning to see their sites down for about 45 minutes to an hour.

well depending on the outage (noone has posted the details) it could have been something simple like them working on their webserver. It doesnt necessarily mean that you're server would have been down. It could have been server trouble, not network trouble.

Just a rebuttal. It doesnt look like they pay much attention to their website. The update on their specials page is well over a year ago. Seems like a bad sign to me. "Now through May 31, 2003 receive crazy pricing on colocation..."

I'm with HE in Freemont, I've had very good luck with them, except I am in Southern California so it would be nice to move my servers closer. However, its a tough call to move when everything is working great, and when the co-lo facilities web site is down it makes me think I will just stay put. Bad timing if they were just doing maintenance as I sit here with their paperwork in my hand.

Whether or not it was a problem with their web server or maintenance on their site, they should realize that such outages reflect directly on their ability to provide quality service to their customers.

Well Jeff, maybe in your mystery world problems dont happen, but here in reality, servers can crash. Things happen. I'm not saying its a good thing(tm) by any means, but it can happen. I guess the fact that the site is back up is a sign enough that they care, atleast to some degree. To boot, I bet they do "realize how such outages reflect directly on their ability to provide quality service to their customers". But, since their latest promotion was over a year ago, i'm betting they dont get too much business from their website. Perhaps instead of speculating, someone who is interested enough should contact them and find out the answer.

Hey guys, 1) We were moving some sites from one server to another a few days ago. Our monitoring software on the backend was not "friendly" to migration so it took some time to move. 2) We have < 1% sales from our website so we don't really keep it up to date. The network has grown to several POPs and has far newer equipment. We realized that 99% of our business comes from existing customer recommendations. Although I will however ask someone to update the website. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We have been a buying transit from NR Software for some time now and had nothing but great experiences with them. They have delivered the highest level of service and are entirely customer orientated, vs having to dabble through 5 reps. at a company to get an issue solved. We have been working with various providers since '96 and can fully recommend NR. Cheers!
