Anyones server at The Planet down, or is it just me?

Posted by v-rod, 08-06-2004, 11:55 AM
Yea, I called and they said it was a network issue.

Posted by NoFearGaming, 08-06-2004, 11:55 AM
Mine is down as well.

Posted by 0utlier, 08-06-2004, 11:56 AM
I have two ThePlanet servers down. I called and they said it was a network issue. Didn't get any more info than that as they usually have these things fixed in minutes. Unfortunately, I'm working on 25 minutes of downtime now. So much for 100% uptime for this month.

Posted by TLott, 08-06-2004, 11:58 AM
Yes, 2 of my machines in DLLSTX4 are down, however machines in DLLSTX2 appears to be fine.

Posted by NoFearGaming, 08-06-2004, 11:58 AM
Seems to be a hit and miss.

Posted by TLott, 08-06-2004, 11:59 AM

It has been up and down in the last 45 minutes. If you go over to the servermatrix forums (network forum), there is a current thread on this issue.

Posted by crucialx, 08-06-2004, 12:11 PM
Yesterday I had 50% packet loss on one server for 10-20 minutes, and today I reports show down over 10 minutes. This is only for the new DC.

Yep, a trace shows quite a few packets being lost, not looking good... Greg

STX4 is bad news... period. It will take some time for them to get settled in and for STX4 to get the reputation and uptime of STX2, IMO.

Network Event Aug 6, 2004 Summary: This morning we have experienced an intermittent network condition beginning at approximately 9:00am, causing some customers at DLLSTX4 to experience degraded network performance. Our networking engineering group is working on this issue and hopes to have this issue resolved shortly. We apologize for the troubles.

Posted by BlikWerk, 08-06-2004, 12:44 PM
We're up Looks good this time *knocks on wood*

Posted by expert_21, 08-06-2004, 12:53 PM
so much of 100% uptime eh?

Posted by Trix, 08-06-2004, 12:54 PM
um all the sites/servers that were offline for me seem to be back up for me now and avnt gone down in the last 5 mins

Posted by freeflight2, 08-06-2004, 12:56 PM
guess I was lucky this time... I am still in the old D2. I hope TP is going to hire some talented networking guys... I am complaining since months that our TC servers are getting 'cut off' at about 12 - 16mbit once a week (network gets so slow that traffic drops down to 6mbit for 1-2 hours + 30% ping loss). It's scary to imagine how they are going to handle things once they are going to hit their network limits and more and more customers are still floodding to them.

isn't supposed to be 99.99% Uptime SLA Guarantee?

Posted by rmMark1, 08-06-2004, 01:08 PM
There is no such thing and I dont care if any SLA tells you this. Cash in and dont be fooled again.
