Looks like my hoster, Cruxter Networks disappeared completely. Cruxters web site is down for almost 48 hours now. And so is my site. It seems to be impossible to contact them in any way. About a week ago the same thing happend, but after 4 hours everything was online again. I saw in another post that other Cruxter customers have the same problem. But for some reason that thread disappeared My question is: Does ANYBODY know what the heck is going on with Cruxter Networks?

Can't say that I've heard anything about them, or even that I've of them. But if you're host is down for 48 hours, I'd recommend that it's time to look for a new host.

Well, of course I'm already looking for another hoser. But I would really like to know what's going on. And of course I want my money back.

This is total crap. I just switched to these guys Sunday night. In fact I talked to this Sean guy on AIM and he helped me transfer all the files from my old server to my new one. I can't see how they stay in business with a 99% uptime guarantee, and a 30 minute support reply guarantee. They'd have to refund an entire month of income to all their customers!

I've had problems with them as well. I placed an order for their VPS 2000 plan with RHEL around July 15. When I waited a few hours later to see if my account was setup, I got an error with their helpdesk software. Contacted them via IM support and they e-mailed me my account details about an hour later. All other tickets I tried to submit using their helpdesk resulted in the same error message. I would give you that exact error message, but their site is down at this time so I can't reproduce it. I never used my account for anything critical. However, unless they can fix their helpdesk issue, their response time guarantee isn't worth much. I contacted them on August 8 (via the helpdesk again) and got the same error. Sent a message to their live help (which was offline at the time) and am still waiting to hear from them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to cancel my account with them now.

It's been 72 hours now and nothing. Sean hasn't been on AIM (CruxSupport) since the server went down. I called the 800 number and got an answering machine, but the name was blank. I haven't heard back from them. Has anyone been with them for more than a couple of weeks? It's beginning to seem as if they just set this up for a month or two to get credit card numbers and then disappeared. I'll be watching my credit card statement closely and probably contesting the charge...

It appears that the address used to register "cruxter.com" is a residential address: 1711 Northcliff Ave Norman, Oklahoma 73071 (Will post a satellite picture as soon as I have 5 posts and it lets me post URLs) Has anyone else found anything about them?

I was reffered to Cruxter by an ad I saw at forums.somethingawful.com . I will ask around there and see if anyone knows whats up, or knows what this guys story is.

CruxSupport just got on AIM. The website isn't back up yet, though, so I'm going to give it a few hours before IMing him so as to not scare him away. ;-)

i got tired of waiting after the first day so i switched to defenderhosting and will never look back. If you need hosting PM me and we'll see what kinda deal can be made angryumlaut.
