Here are monthly stats, it's a news blog(wordpress) and well optimized! Sessions 19,936,077 Users 11,813,680 Page Views 25,984,158 My current plan is Hostgator Pro Dedicated Server, however once it hit 4000+ users online it's crashing a bit. And takes time in loading. Thank you in advance

Optimization is like black art sometimes. And so "well optimized" is almost always relative! I bet you can squeeze a bunch more performance out of your current configuration. How is the server configured? Last edited by UNIXy; 04-30-2017 at 03:05 PM.

Dont know much in server end however on site end, I have done all optimization, even added a CDN and cloudflare both, did whatever I could, if you could advise me more on server thing, it'd be great Thank you

What has HG done so far on the server to optimize it? Also when you say you've done all optimization, what exactly have you done?

Optimized Images, Compressed Javascripts, added cloudflare and CDN and serving all images through CDN and other javascripts as well, uploaded images in google drive and through that on website so load won't be much. I dont really know much other than that and hostgator hasn't done anything from their end I guess, i dont know what to tell them and thank you.

You can formulate a request to HG like this: That should move things forward for you. Let me know if you need help with those changes.

Hi There. A managed server that you manage yourself, hmmm. My initial...it's HostGator. Unfortunately they're no longer on anyone's recommended list after the buyout a few years ago. I won't get into all the details, but there's a lot you can find out if you research them here. How comfortable are you with your current server? Do you use it for more than just WordPress, meaning emails and other tasks? There are options that exist that perform better than most standard cPanel configurations, and doesn't require adding more and more resources for speed. Do you know if the database has ever been optimized? That is the core of WordPress. If it has not been optimized or customized to your needs, it can also greatly affect the overall performance. Leasing or owing a server allows for services to be customized to ones needs.
