Matrix/Vortech all network down

Posted by dexx, 11-24-2004, 02:56 AM
All the network of Matrixreseller/Vortechhosting is down, and not even their forums available. Anyone knows why? how long it will take?

You could try their rep on WHT here for some explanation.

Well everything should be fixed now, we had another different issue around the time you posted ServerZB. We tried to bring Internap up on our router and there routeing table took up to much ram on our router. We fixed that issue in about 15 -20 min and also got internap online at the same time. Again I am very sorry about the down time. But the post below goes in to a little more detail about what happend. It was a little out of our control being a ARP poisioning attach from in side the network it was very hard to find and kill as it made the router show some errors we have never seen before. Once we found the person and kicked them off the network everything worked just fine. But there is more on all this here http://forum.vortechhosting.com/show...3&page=3&pp=15 Last edited by Vortech; 11-24-2004 at 01:36 PM.

all my sites are still down.

The network is not down, its one server due to apache needing to be rebuilt due to leaving suexec out after the upgrades we did when the php security issue hit last week or so. It should not be to much longer.

thanks sir, i just got a similar response from jason Hello Everyone, Unix15 is experiencing some unexpected downtime because apache needs to be re-installed with suexec. It seems that as apache started to rotate the logs this issue came up. We'll keep you updated on its progress. Sorry for any inconveniences, we are working diligently to remedy the issue. Best Regards, Jason Vortech, Inc

Not a problem and glad I could help. We missed suexec on one out of many servers in the rush to upgrade them due to php so I guess thats not to bad. I would have rather it been zero. We will have it back up ASAP and sorry about the downtime.
