With all due respect it's very difficult to stop dos attacks. This might be an interesting read: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3713174.stm

Yes! I do not know what kind of hosting company is that but sometimes hosts really face dos attacks. You can always change your host but my advice is not to hurry up. Maybe the problems you experience are temporary and the services is going to be good after that. Regards D.

zander98 appears to be the target of DDOS attacks with three different hosting companies. Zander, your account getting attacked is not the fault of your hosts. That this is happening to you is a shame, but really it does not mean any of your hosts suck. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=329295 http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=329393

Hostprince are rubbish... They took my money! I paid for my month of hosting, and cancelled my subscription 1 day after I paid for my following month and they TERMINATED my accounts. I spoke to John (the owner) and he said he cancelled it because I cancelled my subscription, although I had one month paid for! I asked for a refund of the month I have just paid and not getting and he is ignoring my emails, tickets and every other way of contact I have tried. Don't use hostprince... BTW - I also had downtime atleast once a day with them.

I've had a bad experience with HostPrince.com as well. They constantly had downtime which could not be explained. I have monitored the CPU usage on their server and most of the time it was running at 3.4 on a Pentium4. This wouldn't be bad but the processing of the forums made it very hard to stick with them. I don't recommend them to anyone as the $10.00 isn't worth the time. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I have been trying to find out for 2 days what port to use for secure shell access and still waiting. As for downtimes .. yes there are many and yes they are always (seemingly) only happening without explanation. What I am getting back in reply; oh it's all fine here, maybe your ISP? Maybe not! Running on a dedicated T1 trunk and not some 56K! All I can say, if you need loads of space and you're not bothered with downtimes HostPrince is good but if you need reliable service you need to look elsewhere. And when it comes to support, your BEST bet is to look elsewhere! Unless you're OK to wait days!!! Cheers, Jozsef

I have 1 month experience with HostPrince.com. There were 3 downs during the month 1) it was a DDOS attack [dalay 5-6 hours] 2) I guess the server was hacked completely [delay 8-9 hours] after that they loaded backups for previous dey 3) Just today http, bind. exim services were unavailable at least 3 hours. Support is not good, sometimes they do not even answer to tickets and never excuse for delays. It is worth 10.0$

I now experience down-times at least once an hour and especially sub-domain name handling is very poor!! And yes, it's true, some support calls are not answered at all and others may get answered in due course... Purchased the 4GB storage option but have more like 1GB as I am already getting warnings that server space is running out!!

I got the same problem with them. Downtimes almost everyday around 2:45 PM. Don't know why, they say nothing is wrong but they check the sites abotu 3 hours after. I'm getting sick of this. 1 more downtime and I go to a different host. Can you recommend anyone for me? Is it possible to get something similar to what HostPrince offers. $10-15 is my range.

I think you should post in the main webhosting forum (you'll probably have to pay more per/mo, but thats life I guess): http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumd...p?s=&forumid=1 Good luck
