I been doing a lot of reading tonight and I've come to the conclusion that you get what you pay for. It took me 26 years to figure that out... So I's thinking about moving my site to Lunapages or PowWeb... Two questions: 1. Any warnings or praise on either services? 2. My domain is Registered through: Digital Technology, Inc. the Registrar is: WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC.. Does anyone have any contact info on which of these guys I need to contact to get my domain transferred to the new service? Is it normally done by phone or email? How quickly? Thanks!

you have to be the registered owner of the domain in order to do that you can go to http://whois.sc/YOURDOMAINHERE.EXT to see if you are listed in there If so then contact WWW domains and ask how to get login info Thats about all you could do, but i would say give it some time to pass of you havent already there may be some serious hardware issues that can not be fixed right away

I received an email on Monday morning stating: "Dear Client, We are in the process of moving the server that hosts your domain(s) to a new facility. All servers should be up again within the next 24 to 48 hours. We do apologize that we were unable to give you prior notice." By the time I read this message on Monday, the site was down as were our email accounts. 24-48 hours is now over 5 days. I'm not an expert, but how does one plan a move to a new server and not be able to provide prior notice? I'm sure he's run into some serious problems, but why not have the new server up and running in some sort of trial mode before attempting a switch? or why not put the old server back online once he realized he's got a problem that's lasting longer than the promised 24-48 hours? And why not email customers to let them know what the problem is? or post a notice on the company's home page: hostyard.com Seems unforgivable to me... a newbie mistake for sure. Am I being overly sensitive?

Is he being affected by the current situation with Affordable Colo / DTI Technology being discussed in thread on Co-Location Forum?: SERVERS MIA from Affordable Colo DTI Networks Charles Baker (Sorry, being new member, message board will not allow me to post the direct link). Street address info for Hostyard is same Wichita address common to both of these other services, and outage began about same time as the incidents discussed in this other thread.

My domain just happens to be registered with DTI Tech and their site was up and running and I was able to change my name servers. I'm all paid up with them for two years... should I be worried? What could happen? BTW... is Digital Technology, Inc. the same company you're talking about?
