Arhoster problems

Posted by willdaws, 05-10-2005, 06:40 AM
Hi, Does anybody else use arhoster.com and is currently having problems? I have 3 sites hosted with them, one of which can't be accessed (nor can the Cpanel). More worrying, I cannot access the arhoster.com homepage to send a query through and find out what is going on! Is any experiencing similar difficulties, or knows what's going on? Thanks Will

Yes, I have problems with them too. Two sites down since last Friday and cannot get in touch with them to see what the problem is.

Thanks for your reply with the helpful information. Unfortunately, I cannot get through on the phone and my emails are returned undelivered, so not having much joy finding out what's going on! I think it would be wise for people to steer clear until this is resolved!

anyone believe that arhoster.com will be back now? It's been 5 days now since their server has been down, and there is no point of contact with them that works (I have sent them a letter special delivery and have had no reply). Shall I create another website? Does anyone have any experiences of these situations? Thank you

I agree, and yet I also have a glimer of hope. I was able to access my website for a while last night, including using the cpanel. The two others I host with them are still running, but for how long.......?

yes, it's hard (actually near impossible) to get hold of Arhoster, as their telephone number is an answering machine and their mobile phone is switched off. In addition, their residence is Ex-Directory, so obtaining their house phone number is impossible. Does anyone who is encountering problems with Arhoster, live near Birmingham? I have now cancelled my subscription with them as I do not believe they will now be returning.

How can i cancel my subscription so that i could transfer the dn to another registar?

not sure to be honest, as i'm a novice myself. I pay Arhoster monthly via Paypal, so have logged into Paypal and cancelled my subscription. I believe that you have an option to transfer your existing domain when you sign up with new web hosting.

no you can't because it is locked

Could it be that things are actually back working again (almost). If so then fantastic, but's I ain't couting anything yet! Before this I would have recommended arhoster.com hands down as the best value on the web. I still think that to an extent, but experience of the last few days has done a lot of damage.

I've got a few sites with arhoster, which are still going down, so don't think this is sorted. I've tried emailing, phoning and contacting them through their site and still no reply. So i'm going elsewhere. I've spent a while going through this forum to find a good host, and thought i'd post here in case others are looking. I've opted for 34sp - they are nearly as cheap, and with a very good rep, recomended lots. If I had a bit more money i'd prob go for Unitedhost.co.uk or Hostroute. (nb: i don't have any experience of any of these co - its just based on other people's recomendations). Cheers, b

I think you've made a good choice with 34sp Although I've no personal experience with them, I've heard many positive recommendations, too. Please tell about your experiences with them after a few months. Yangxi
