Jodohost is down ?

Posted by fischermx, 06-08-2005, 02:40 AM
Does anybody has account there ? My sites are down, and their main site is down as well ... Do they host in the same server the resell !? LOL I have a few days with them yet, should I expect this often ?

Generally speaking, jodohost has a good reputation. They are on an hsphere cluster, so Im assuming you have sites across multiple servers... Is their entire cluster down (I would find this hard to believe) - or are all your accounts on the same web server? Is everything down, or just web? (ie is email up, etc...) Anyway, sorry about your hassles and hopefully they get things sorted out for you soon...

Their support forum is up though and this is a thread that might shed some light: http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=4605

Hi Guys Our PDU (power distribution unit) just failed which hosts a major section of our windows servers... Approximately 10 of our 25 servers in the hsphere cluster are affected We are replacing it and updates are being posted on our forum. We should have things fully restored shortly These things are very rare, you can take my word this has never happened before Email notifications have been dispatched to everyone and we are keeping everyone up-to-date

everything resolved We had rushed Stephen into the datacenter (he lives 10minutes away) at this time of night as well to aid with getting things back up ASAP

Jodohost has a great reputation around these parts for very good reason. If you are worried about hosting with them, a simple search will show you've made a good choice

I know they're good ! I had to ask here because I found their site down, too, and that really struck me out. ! 10 minutes is nothing compared to hours, several times a month, each month, with my previous hosting.

This kind of post should be made in the network outages forum, for future reference - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumd...php?forumid=59 .

I still have like 200 sites in the other host. I'd like to move them out to a new place offering asp.net/sqlserver, for similar price/quality to jodohost. I don't want to put all my site in same host just as caution, also to help in indexing because the different IPs on my sites. Any recommendation ?

That would be best asked in the reseller hosting forum.

Stephen : Do you think you could assign me in another IP range different than my current if I open one more reseller account and I request it so?

Posted by (Stephen), 06-13-2005, 03:17 PM
No, we have moved all our IPs to one range now, it is multiple subnets, but all within a general range.

my domain and my email are all down as of now... in fact, jodohost.com seems to be unreachable.

I want to become to a client of jodohost and cant place order online now. I cant access jodohost.com even

Posted by daze, 06-13-2005, 04:42 PM
yeah... they've been down for about 45 minutes now. they were down for an hour last wednesday when there was a power failure, but email services were still up then. now, everything is down. i've been with them for about 10 days and my uptime is only at about 98.6%. i'm counting on these being strange isolated incidents, as i've read many great things about them lately. having email down in the middle of a workday is tough though.

Hello, We are sorry for the problems, level3 is broadcasting routes that they no longer maintain, and it is causing routing issues for many(including my home DSL).

i do appreciate the updates, stephen. i know you folks are doing your best. the jodohost support staff has been stellar over the past week or so whenever i've had questions. uppanel.com is reporting that my site is up again, though i'm still unable to access it or my email. hopefully this will work itself out relatively soon.

From what we are getting reports on, and testing, all but one range of IPs are now up and being routed correctly. More details can be found on our forums.

Hi Let me first appologize for this issue. Let me reassure you that the network downtime some experiences today (15 to 45minutes, depending on your ISP) was due to Level(3) broadcasting incorrect routes for us as Stephen said. This was purely network related and we had little control over it. However as you now know, we are no longer using Level(3) and now will depend on our other tier-1 providers, such as InterNap for our bandwidth. So I can assure you such an issue will never happen again

LEVEL3 is great though =D

haha... we aren't the only hosts that have had issues with them, trust me We are also using limelight now They serve bandwidth to media giants and companies like Microsoft
