Issued reboots as well just incase, before I saw this. NAC website up but two of my servers are unreachable. One was part of the move, another is a recent purchase probably also in the new building.

Nop, my 2 servers are down. One is at the NEW and another at the OLD one.

We are experiencing a switch failure. Technicians are working to replace the faulty gear as we speak. We will post an update and ETA ASAP. We sincerely appologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Posted by Nymix-CB, 06-13-2005, 11:01 AM
Everything is UP. Thank you NAC.

Posted by Lem0nHead, 06-13-2005, 11:03 AM
mine wasn't rebooted... is it because they detect a network failure and disable reboots or I did something wrong? o_O

Posted by NACmwinship, 06-13-2005, 11:03 AM
Our techs replaced the faulty switchblade. We will continue to monitor the switch to ensure no additional downtime will occur. You will be advised if we need to schedule a maintenance window to replace the entire switch. Again we sincerely appologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

down again?!

Posted by NACmwinship, 06-13-2005, 11:05 AM
Our customer care interface lost connectivity with our remote reboot ports durring the outage. If you issued a reboot the command was lost, please try again.

Well, this is certainly the only time I've ever been aware of since November 04 of any kind of major downtime like this. And it was fixed extremely quickly. Thank you, NAC M.

Also, any chance of keeping everybody up to date on the main forums.15minuteservers.com web site with regards to what's happening (in addition to here)? I'm seeing a few guests browsing on the 15ms forums - more so than unusual - and they may not know about WHT and this particular forum. Last edited by movielad; 06-13-2005 at 12:31 PM.

Fingers and everything else crossed that it's a permanent fix. M.

As much as like 15minuteservers, the lack of notification on issues such as this is my one grip. I can accept the downtime, I just wish I didn't have to rely on a 3rd party forum to find out the cause of it.

Posted by Lem0nHead, 06-14-2005, 09:55 PM
what about http://forums.15minuteservers.com/showthread.php?t=197 ?

As that post stated the outage was from 10:35 to 10:50. The post was made at 12:57, 2 hours later. So during the outage I had no idea if it was a general network issue or a problem with my server in general. So like many of us I had to rely on the WHT to find out what was going on.

Posted by MattF, 06-15-2005, 09:25 AM
Yes it is a bit concerning that they do not update their forums when problems occurs. Just a simple, we are aware of a problem and working on it.

Please do not get me wrong, I'm not trying to trash 15minuteservers in any way. I am very happy overall with the network, hardware and support that I receive. I actually owe Matthew a big thank you for helping to get ownership of a server I have there transfered to me when the intermediate company who previously leased the server went belly-up. Just a little improvement in communication would be great.
