In case any customers come here to search: I host our core web sites (forums, helpdesk, billing, main web sites) at Bocacom, seems that the hurricane has knocked out the generators so right now all of our core sites are inaccessible. I've rewired dns to an info page that should come up then those core sites are accessed, but of course DNS caching means most customers won't SEE that page for hours to come (probably about the time everything comes back online). This should only affect "my" web sites, there are no customers nor customer DNS hosted on this single server in Florida and my backup DNS server is at EV1 so the dns should failover to that server for lookups/etc involving *.dixiesys.com or *.8-95.com.

Gary, How do we get problems addressed. I have an email issue on my server that needs attention. I know things are screwy just need some assistance. Thanks!

Join our help channel on irc is the best way, all the techs are in there with nothing to do anyway since the helpdesk is effected by this down time irc.dixiesys.com standard irc ports (6667) and join #help You can email staff@lists.dixiesys.com this "should" also be working I think, and this will show up in all the staff inboxes (cept for the new guy gotta add him to the staff mailing list, something to add to the new employee TO-DO list methinks).
