<< Yep, it's official : it's another one of those seesaws for hours on end.... >> Someone needs to get a new watch...it's been less than an hour. Our uptime in recent months speaks for itself: http://www.hyperspin.com/publicreport/57207/7765 We are currently working on the issue. It looks to be a direct attack on our own core server, which the Top Layer DDOS Protection units are not blocking for some reason. We should have it resolved shortly... NOTE: Just pinging one of our domains does not mean our whole network is down... We currently are blocking much traffic to our own server while resolving this, so our clientele are not still affected. . . Last edited by HostJedi; 12-19-2005 at 10:05 AM.

Where is it official? All prognostication attempts aside, our main web server is suffering a focused DDoS attack which took our main website offline for a short time. At this point, it has been dealt with and all systems appear to be normal.

We currently are blocking much traffic to our own server while resolving this, so our clientele are not still affected. ... Just to support this, we experienced a short downtime (less than a minute) on one of our burst servers, while the four others remained up without any loss of connectivity. And, while there have been a few really bad days in the past year or so, I show a 99.978% uptime since October 1 and a 99.998 uptime since November 1. Pretty good for the prices.

I was trying to pinpoint the 'seesaw' effect rather than the total downtime. I know that Burst's uptime has been great lately, and that's why I still work with you guys. There's no attack here. Glad everything was dealt with effectively.
