Syristech??

Posted by *Jackel, 02-01-2007, 07:10 PM
Hi, I've had a dedicated server with syristech for quite some time now (about 9 months), and I've always recieved excellent service. Their uptime and support have been great until just recently. Jan 30 (About 7:00 PM EST) their network appears to have wen't down completely, as their server(s) have not been reponding including mine, which is causing alot of conflict among my users. Now, this thread is not to attack syristech at all, I really have enjoyed their services. I would very much like to continue services with syristech aswell. There seems to be no means of contacting them whilist their servers being down. So, I'm hoping a syristech representative on these forums could possibly fill me in. Thanks, Jackel. No one? This is terrible, I have absolutely no back ups on my desktop computer due to my hard drive space, and absolutely no way of getting backups. I do hope there is someone out there with information on this. This is going to completely ruin my operation if something isn't done fast. I'm losing several users by the hour, and the number is increasing.

I'm having the same problem also. I figured Rasheen or someone would have replied by now, however it seems Syristech has disappeared. I have attempted emailing him at other email addresses, PMing him on multiple forums, etc. with no success. My server's been down for 3 days now, http://www.thinktivity.com/. I'm left with no backups or any way of getting the data off my server now. However, I've already put in an order at LT for a new server and filed a Paypal claim against Syristech. 3 days downtime for a dedicated server is intolerable. Due to Syristech's poor managment, this is not the first time they've caused me downtime (though it is the longest). Once/If my old server comes back online, I'll transfer the data from them to the new server. Because their main site is down, my server and yours is down, and they will not reply to any contact, I have to assume that they took my money and ran.

I'm sorry to hear, especially since you're in the hosting industry. I do not provide hosting services, but I do provide game services which is just as important to me and my users. I would also place an order elsewhere, but it would be pointless because my users would not return for sure. I just recently had a major database problem, and everyone had to re-register and start from the beginning, so they definitely wouldn't take kindly to restarting again. So if I cannot get a backup of the database, there really is no way I could continue my services. Which means I have lost over $1000.00 in USD funds, including a lot of time.

Seems to be another (recent) post in the main forum. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=579782 Not much help offered though. Hopefully someone will succeed in contacting them.

That's too bad. Due to the generosity of one of my loyal users, I was able to place an order for another server. I did not wish to, but it appears my future with SyrisTech is not promising. However, I do hope the current server I have with them returns back online so I can make a backup of the database. I really had an excellent experience with SyrisTech until now, and am quite disapointed that it has resulted to this. Last edited by *Jackel; 02-03-2007 at 02:03 PM.

I would just like to inform users that Rasheen had failed to pay for your servers, and they were canceled. However, Donna (The owner I believe) of AngelNetworkz (Provider for syristech.com) informed me that she had put these servers on hold, so you if you would like backups she would be willing to have the servers reconnected (for a fee). Please contact sales[at]angelnetworkz.net for more information.

I'm hoping that they atleast come up for the backups. I've lost so much time and energy into the sites i've built with no backups. If they want my money they can have it but I just need my sites back.

w00ts!te, if you had a shared or reseller hosting account with syristrech, contact Donna with the link provided above. She had transfered all the shared accounts from the syristech primary server to save all shared/reseller accounts.
