Softlayer outage?

Hi, My friend has a dedicated server that I believe is hosted at softlayer.com as the server IP 74.86.177.226 resolves back to them. Anyways my site is down, can't even ping the server :/ Even worse my friend is out of town and I can't reach him. What should I do? I don't have access to their live support so I sent them a mail via the normal support email. Here's hoping they read it soon... Last edited by x3sphere; 11-24-2007 at 12:55 PM.

Maybe your friend forgot to pay his bill We'll wait a bit and see if some other people come in

There are no network outages @ Softlayer. I'd say the machine its self is down. Simon

No outages on any of our machines. Must be related to just that machine

Indeed, it was an isolated problem. All is back up now after my friend talked with support. Anyway thanks for the help
