I can access their main page from Europe.

Ok, I still can't. I can see no problems to other US based sites. There seems to be no DNS resolution.

Well, it seems like it was a local issue, everything is back up now. Sorry.

I am experiencing problems accessing our UK based servers from our Liquidweb servers. I think there is a problem somewhere in that connection. My traceroute shows it dropping out in the tiscali network.

Indeed, it looks like our servers just came back up right as I was writing my post. They were inaccessible from Liquidweb for about 90 minutes.

I can't see any drop in the apache accesses (mainly users from europe), so I guess it did not affect a lot of people.

I saw the same outage from here, I couldn't see quite a large number of US sites. The cause was a router failure in New York, tiscali have now re-routed traffic via Washington and Level3, so everything should now be working again.

Ok thanks for the information. I wasn't dreaming finally.
